Yes, it had the material to become a stand alone suspense thriller. Director would have been able to put across the message within the main story itself. But by adding the parallel tracks of Jogi Jangama and Leo Tolstoy's "How Much Land Does a Man Need?" director has been able to propagate the message with more depth. These tracks have only made the film more layered if you ask me. They could have made the film very messy but the way he has juxtaposed scenes between the main track is commendable. Some of the transitions between the stories were thing of pure joy. I am glad that this kind of experimentation happened in Kannada. I can think of only positives about this attempt. It was brave on the part of producers to go with this style of story-telling in a commercial movie.<br />But seems like I am in the minority. My issue with the movie is restricted to addition of unnecessary MTV styled songs and the poor marketing strategy which never made an attempt to reach the audience who would have liked this kind of film.Anyway, the makers have decided to remove a track altogether as many are having issue with the parallel tracks (All the folk songs are chopped and climax has been modified if I am right). My only hope is that at least DVD will carry the original version.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13009695057058048864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3101663049417862937.post-3002744308073214182013-08-14T14:47:01.024+05:302013-08-14T14:47:01.024+05:30simply superbsimply superbAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
